Job purpose As a Teaching Assistant at ICR, you are responsible for looking after students before, during, and after class.
Responsibilities
Teaching Assistant hours
- Take classes as requested (minimum 4 classes/week)
- Ensure all students are present before the start of each class.
- Be responsible for student drop-off and pick-up.
Classroom Management
- Assist teachers during classes.
- Support students in class/during the course.
- Monitor and supervise students.
- Assist teachers with administrative tasks.
Course administration
- Prepare and distribute course materials and merchandise.
- Ensure that students receive the correct materials.
- Keep the students updated on their course progress.
- Take daily attendance.
- Manage classroom order and cleanliness.
- Deliver letters and reports.
- Report incidents or problems to the Customer Service Department.
- Provide additional support to struggling students (tutoring).
Professional learning and development
- Attend mandatory training programs.
Customer care
- Report students’ progress (as scheduled).
- Contact parents regarding student absences.
- Support enrichment programs.
Other
- Assist the center with various tasks as required.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by line managers and functional heads.
Requirements
- University or College Degree (current undergraduate students in their second year or higher are also acceptable).
- Strong communication, observation, and presentation skills. Effective in building relationships with children and parents.
- Energetic, personable, and confident, with a professional appearance.
- Eager to learn and develop new skills.
- Be responsible for supervising students during breaktime.
- A reliable and disciplined individual with organizational and time management abilities.
- Positive, energetic, and hardworking.
- Ability to work with foreign staff.
- Passionate about childcare and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Flexible and willing to work evenings and weekends.
Language Exhibit an intermediate level of English proficiency:
- Candidates with an IELTS certificate of 6.0+ are highly preferable.
- Undergraduate students with strong English proficiency or a major in English are highly preferred.
